AGAPE ALBINO GROUP
EIT has partnered with Agape Albino Group to help those with Albinism. We are working mainly with home visits in rural areas of northern Tanzania. Our goal is to educate families on how to care for their family members suffering from Albinism. We are helping supply clothing, hats, sunscreen, as well as teaching basic caregiving techniques. People suffering from Albinism not only deal with obvious issues of severe sunburn, they also experience many health issues (bad eyesight, high cancer risk, etc.) and also suffer greatly from extreme persecution from those around them.
FOUNTAIN OF GRACE
Fountain of Grace (FOG), located in Machame, Tanzania—on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro—is an organization that cares for regional pastors, missionaries, and leaders. FOG hosts retreats for pastors and leaders to provide both spiritual refreshing and physical rest. EIT, along with FOG and three other organizations have partnered together with a vision to have establish a conference center and a 24/7 house of prayer.
AFTER TRADE is a new form of sourcing that moves beyond the trade of coffee and toward reconciliation between farmers, roasters, coffee, and the land, through practices of solidarity and sustainability. AFTER TRADE was developed by Steven and Stephanie Berbec, project directors of EIT.
